The event is now just 3 weeks away - still plenty of time to get your entries in.
The event is held at Wark Sports club
Camping on site is £4 per person - no need to book for tents, but caravans, campers etc need to confirm a place by email in advance
There are showers and flushing toilets
There is a large indoor area, should it rain - though sadly without a view of the course
We have been promised a 15 cumec release from Kielder for the whole weekend - slightly more than in previous years - but this is quite a wide river so don't expect a river rise like that at the Washburn unless we get wet weather the week before too.
The sports club are providing catering and bar facilities as previous years and we have a singer, Amy Ridley https://www.facebook.com/amyridleysingersongwriter/ who is going to perform on Saturday evening (free admission).
Please keep off the river bank alongside the course except in emergencies. The village are (rightly) proud of the beautiful stretch of river and the dafodils are a slightly sensitive topic - though I suspect more get trampled by dog walkers than by the event!

Provisional start lists are now posted at http://www.carealto.co.uk/Saturday.pdf and http://www.carealto.co.uk/Sunday.pdf. We plan to have a team race on Saturday after the main event.
We aim to have the course available for practice from mid afternoon on Friday 14th April.
A local farmer is generously allowing us space for caravans and motorhomes. Please keep well away from his silage bales - he will not let us have use of this area again (and may ask that the area is cleared immediately) if he sees boats leaning against them, kit drying on them etc.

Just a quick note to say thanks for a great race weekend - a challenging course and a fun atmosphere.
Thank you!
Thank you!
If I could, I would. But I'll capsize instead.
