Kev - I presume given the date range given they're for a saloon rather than estate?

Hi Fatboy

Yes they are for a saloon, the feet, fixing kit and the bars are all in with it, I've just bought a new Mondeo and they have changed the way they mount.

I believe up to 2003 they use the peg style which mount under the rubber seal.

2003 onwards they use a socket head bolt direct on to the roof.

I have a set of roof bars and fittings for roof rails for a Mondeo (2001 Y) for sale, which are surplus to requiremnets. Contact me via e mail - richardlee.wca@virgin.net to arrange a reasonable price, if you still want them. Regards. Richard Lee

Are they Thule ones and are they locking? I've got Ford ones now since I had to have them for the warranty but I was just thinking it might be worth upgrading if the price is right.

They are Halfords bars ie similar to the Thule square bars as opposed to Thule aero bars. They are the bars plus clamp type fittings to fit the Estate roof rails - non locking (although I think you can upgrade them with Halfords locks).

Thanks Richard but I'll stick to the Ford ones for now.
