Llandysul results

Post by Terryg » Mon May 28, 2012 8:41 pm

Trying to keep track of the 2/3 Vets results, and the points on the results posted on this site do not make sense to me.

Can someone please check them, and if correct, explain how they were calculated.

Also, for my records, does Nia paddle div2 or Div3?

Many thanks
Terry

Assuming they both paddle div 2 (I can't answer that bit of your question), then they should have both got 30 points (rule B5.3.1). If they're both div 3, then Danny would have got 300 points and Nia 100. That of course assumes that the respective K1M points are correct, which I didn't check (although they look OK at a glance).

Hope that helps,
Steve

Not sure if this is of use, but if you want to quickly check results you can do so using this link. There are a few anomalies not currently catered for, but it's fine for quickly checking results on the majority of events (there is also a mobile version for those using their phones).

Cheers

Link is irrelevant in this case, but thanks anyway.

Agree that rule B5.3.1 should apply, which is why I was querying the posted results.
Danny paddles Div2. Do not know Nia.

Thanks for the responses.

Rule 5.3.1 says that you do a direct score comparison with the corresponding divisional event providing it is quorate.
Danny is Div 2 K1M and therefore would have 30 points on Sat and 32 points on Sun.
Don't know Nia's class or division. If Div2 K1W would have 83 points both days or if Div 3 K1W 200 points both days.

Advert mode on
For the sake of a minimum £5 donation to the RNLI you could use Simply Slalom which takes all the hassle out of calculating points, besides creating Start lists and results with remote display option.

If it is not on fire, it might be a software problem.

 I assumed Nia was also K1M...sorry!

Without needing to advertise (although the RNLI will certainly be grateful) Simply Slalom has certainly simplified our events - next weekend will be our 5th with it - thank you Ken!
