Hi All

Start information for this weekends Sowerby Bridge event can be found at Halifax Canoe Club.

The river level is low I'm affraid and likely to stay that way as no significant rain is forecast.

Also for paddlers coming from the east via the M62 Junction 24 please note that there is a road closure on SUNDAY ONLY from 7:30 to 14:00. Details of this can also be found on the above link but you may want to allow an extra 10 minutes for your journey to make the diversion.

Hi All

Entries have been coming in thick and fast (although Div 3 K1W and Div 2/3 C1W & C2 are rather thin on the ground!)

If you are planning to enter on the day please remember that late entries will close at 9:30am each day.

Sorry Les, for the first time since I started slalom I won't be making it up there. I have DW training in Nottingham to contend with instead!

Hope it all goes well though :)

A big thank you to all who came to Sowerby Bridge this weekend and made the slalom such a massive event - by far the largest entry we have had in recent years!!

And a BIG thank you to all those helped with running the event in any capacity. Everything went very smoothly thanks to your efforts.

I have a few items of lost property including;

* a set of glasses
* a fleece
* 3 wetsuit boots (two of which are a pair)

To make a claim on these get in touch (Les Ford 01484 854099 or email).

Ok, here's the bit you want Results - both days (pdf). I'm sure they'll be up on the main site shortly.

Thanks

Les Ford

Re the set of glasses.

Are they by any chance a set of gold leaf embossed wine goblets?
I usually carry them round in my kit bag in case of a spontaneous wine tasting on the river bank.

All seriousness, a great event and worth the trip up, good food and lots more laughs

A great event - even with the looong drive south...

Results posted about the time we stopped @ Hamilton, finished the drive in daylight this morning (very thankful for school holidays!).

Also thanks to Fup Duck and Grumpy for their assistance, encouragement and support for Andrew after his swim Sunday morning. Surprised but very chuffed to take home a Halifax mug
