I am hearing there is hardly any water in the river and the long range forecast is not looking like there will be rain. If the water is very low, does anyone know if this event will go ahead regardless? I want to book somewhere to stay but am unsure about placing a deposit because of the low water.

good point!.... us lads in the healthier weight range need a fair bit of water just to get over the lip on the weir at the top... let alone to actually move on the flat bit just after it... then there is the problem about getting stuck on the slab!
Anyway.. does anyone know what time the forerunners are on Saturday.. they don't seem to be listed on the start list.
