Ah halcyon days. . OK I am not quite that old, but not far off. End cockpit C2 down town falls, starting above teh current put in, and finishing below the weir. . . Great fun! Course length about 1/2 MILE.

Canadians with the high point within 6ins of the end, inside and outside touches per pole. . . .

Drifts off to nostalgia

:D

Some entertaining viewing there and a bit before I started, however I reckon the Lady K1 # 34 is paddling a KW7. Which is probably the first boat I ever paddled as the school had a fleet of them, we built Scorpions when I started subsequently replaced by home made Snipes. The Hahn C2 seems to feature as well, Aberdeen Uni used to have one in the basement (it may still be there!) that dated from the early 70s.

The only other boats I can remember from that time may be the Loisach, I seem to remember the Olymp, Olympia, Isere being closer to early 70s prior to the Olympics at Augsburg. But as this was about 4 years before I started paddling I wouldn't put the mortgage anywhere near it.

But I can say I have done a 30 gate slalom with outside touches, reverse gates, red&green poles, etc solo in a KW7 and paired up in a Hahn style C2. The old end cockpit jobs were a great laugh, tried to loop (endo to new schoolboys) one once, we gave up when the water was up to my chest (frontman) and Ali (backman)couldn't reach far enough to get his paddle in the water.

Ah the memories...

My better half was paddling an Equipe79 (made in '78) until earlier this year and we thought that was old!
