On behalf of the committee of Breadalbane CC SCIO .

Breadalbane CC SCIO are delighted to have received this grant from SSE Griffin and Calliachar. We wish to clarify that the grant is to benefit the whole club and is not meant solely for our slalom contingent. It was not the committees' wish that this news be publicised on this public forum. All members/ stakeholders have been updated with relevant club news via our news letter.

it is always very encouraging to hear of canoe clubs (competitive and recreational) getting substantial grants to help develop their activities. It also underlines the hard work volunteers put into these applications - I think everyone would agree they are not easy - as well as the commitment they put into paddling behind the scenes as unpaid volunteers.

Are there any other clubs who have successfully secured funding for their clubs recently? it is, I think, really encouraging to hear this kind of news and can serve to help others when motivation flags! :)

well done!
