David Florence in Chemistry Exam?

I have just seen this year's Scottish Intermediate 1 chemistry exam (on today) and it features a question about a canoe slalomist with a photo of (I'm fairly certain) David Forence!

C1 or not C1 that is the question. I thought Shakespeare was English Lit'?

Come on then - tell us why. I'm guessing the question was something to do with carbon fibres
