Peter, how do you reach this conclusion? In my 2010 yearbook it states:
"Promotion for women is achieved by winning, or by being well placed, in the results at an appropriate ranking competition, according to the following:
Div 4 to Div 3: 1 in 5 (or part thereof, if quorate)"

It then goes on to state:
"In the case of inquorate division 4, when a competitor's score is within 120% of the last promoted K1 man"

So, if you had 15 K1W, the class was quorate and the top 3 get promoted. Only if it is inquorate does the percentage rule come into play...I think :O

If this is wrong, please let me know, as I may be involved in working it out later in the year!

There was an Errata which was sent out with all yearbooks, and is on the website, which corrected the last paragraph of rules 4.2 and 5.1 on pages 57 and 58 to read -

'In the case of Division 4 when a competitors score would have gained promotion in the corresponding K1 Mens event including ties as in 4.1'

This will apply to both quorate and non quorate K1W and C1M

The online rules will be on the website very soon.
