I do wonder if all our press releases are as clear as they might be.
OK you expect the Nottingham Evening Post to get things wrong (Paul Ratcliffe has good medal prospects, Heahtrre Corrie and Laura Blakeman outsiders; story illustrated with drawings of sprint boats)
But when the Daily Telegraph as problems distinguishing Sprint from Slalom (and saya that Smith & Bowman got a Silver in Sydney) - they are usually prety good - are we helping them as much as we could?

I guess the worldclass site doesn't make it completely clear who was eventually selected:
See worldclass->press info->slalom athletes
http://www.worldclass-canoeing.org.uk/w ... index2.htm
it gives a list of everyone on the team, but doesn't say who actually passed the selection.
Lots of nice bios though.
maybe the journalists are getting their info from there,
xhhz

Lazy Journalists I think - the BBC online got it right here, yet the Radio Times thinks Ratty is going ???

The Athens Olympic site shows that we have 5 athletes and 4 'coaches':
National Performance Coach – Canoe Slalom – Oliver Fix,
Kayak Specialist Coach - Canoe Slalom – Juerg Goetz,
National Coach Canoe – Canoe Slalom – Kevin McHugh,
Sports Science Officer – Barney Wainwright
Olympic coach Bios
So all eyes glued to the telly for the next FOUR days (think positive).
If the video is not set at the right time (while I am en route to work) there will be problems at home!! ???
Best of Luck to the team!

All spelling errors are intentional and are there to show new and improved ways of spelling old words. Grammatical errors are due to too many English classes/teachers.

Well I enjoyed watching first runs on the BBC. Wonderful the interactive options, all available on line while we are at 'work'.
Go to BBC.CO.UK select watch/listen to BBC Sport, and look at the options.
Stu Mac 3rd after 1st runs, Helen Reeves 5th.www.bbc.co.uk
