Re: TEES CANCELLED??
Well they can paddle on Bala, Hpp and Tully the same as Prem so why not Lee Valley? If new promotees can't handle it then don't race there. Surely the sport at the higher level is about testing yourself on the best White water available. Div 1 paddlers are the step below prem so should be able to h...

Re: Should all categories be related to K1M times?
well, i suppose it would take some thinking, but i guess it would work something like I think C2 and C1W works, with percentages compared to the K1M. I guess the only problem with that is that on different types of courses, the extra strength that boys have can count for more. So maybe it would be b...

Should all categories be related to K1M times?
This is more of a suggestion than a rant. I've been to lots of races where the times can be very spread out. Take the example of the Div 2 and Pan Celtic at Tully. The best Div 1 K1M time was 90.31. In the K1W, first place was 100.94 - 1000 points. However, in second place the time was 8 seconds (si...

Re: IS SHEPPERTON A DIV 1 SLALOM VENUE????????
shepperton is certainly a div 1 course in the right conditions - and a very challenging div 2 course. just see last year's results - 50, 50, 50... it can get pretty big. but that's what's so good about shepperton - it can range from a 3/4 to a 1/2. as has been said, there's nowhere else in the south.

Re: Locker trouble?
Maybe she should be told that the course (and her job) wouldn't exist if it wasn't for canoeists - it was after all built as an olympic slalom course.

Re: Locker trouble?
They did this to us on Saturday.
One of the staff said that if there weren't enough lockers for the rafters, they'd tell us to move our stuff out.![Mad :x](./images/smilies/icon_mad.gif)

Re: Payment for Races
So is there actually anyone who knows how to set up the necessary systems who can help clubs who want to run cardless entry and/or online payments?

Re: Payment for Races
i've never been required to use a cheque for anything except for canoeing. campbell's idea says that for up to £20 there's only a 40p charge or something. to be honest, when I'm paying £20 anyway, an extra 40p is not going to bother me. there are probably more like it. The nene 2/3 have online entry ...

Payment for Races
This is going to be a bit of a rant, but hey - it's in rants and raves! Why are we still paying for races by cheque? My bank don't even offer a chequebook any more (not even when you request one). There has GOT to be a better way! I've heard that to set up online payments for clubs is expensive/not ...

Re:
Be nice for Div 2 & 3 to race there again. The legacy course was a challenge for D2, while D3 was carnage last time - so why not give us another go? the legacy course should really be a div 2 event. last year's event was one of my first in div2, and despite being a bit of a challenge, it was fun. i...

Totally agree the should be an online payment system - there's got to e a way to work this out. Does it necessarily have to be Paypal? And in answer to an earlier question, most of the paddlers I know don't paddle slalom because they see it as exclusive, middle-class and snobby. However I think tha...

I'm in need of some good kit as my current LS cagdeck is so leaky I'm more dry when I'm wearing a shortie. I am a girl, 5'4" and small-ish. It is nearing the end of the season, so if you're thinking of getting nice new kit for next season, why not give up your old stuff to a good cause (me)? Lookin...

well, i wouldn't be happy, but yes i'd pay for 2 singles. as for lee valley - before they start doing doubles they need to sort out the 'no wet kit in the building (so how do we get changed exactly?), only people in wet kit are allowed down the hill (everyone else has to cross over the bridge over ...
