This conversation comes up regularly, which boat, which design, which construction. For the design, all the dealers would suggest try them all. Find the one you like the best and decide from there. As to the construction, when you say you have an agressive style, what do you mean, do you paddle the...

Dave I agree that there should be no increased burden on the organisers part. I also agree that a parent or a coach waving a camera in front of a Jury is not the way to review the evidence. But if a paddler gets given a 50 for missing a gate and the judge has written it down so there is no room for...

At the moment video evidence is not admissable in UK slalom, whilst the ICF obviously allow it. With the amount of video's on the bank these days and the quality available, is there not a case for video being allowed, especially at the higher divisions. What do other people think, maybe it would be...

If this is correct then I am not sure how this works. I was under the impression that the judges decision was final and once the results were posted, that was it. I think we all agree that the video evidence showed that Campbell was robbed of a gold medal due to some dodgy judging decisions. I know...

Here are some of my own personal thoughts that might be useful to anyone in this position. If anyone thinks my ideas are rubbish dont bother slagging them off, put your energy to a better use and put up your own thoughts for people to consider The slalom world is quite small, there is very little T...

I think this comes under Rule 31. 31.3 If one competitor is hindered by another, they may repeat their run if so authorised by the Jury. The rule is clear only the Jury can authorise a rerun. 31.2 The overtaking competitor must be attempting to negotiate the course properly. if they have missed gat...

No one has agreed to anything yet. Rumours are unhealthy! If this is the case you will be able to put your point of view forward when the draft selection document will go out for EVERYONE to have their say, and discuss at ACM if necessary. Dear Anne I would like to state quite openly here that I ha...

It's a Double Dutch Advantage check it out at http://jenny-baby.fotopic.net/ Reason for sale: I've grown out of it. This boat would be a good starter, the RAF have a few of them and they are used by paddlers up to about 12 stone. Volume should not be an issue unless you intend taking it to places w...

I have listened to a few C1 paddlers talking about sitting in front of the tv as if they were kneeling in a C1, increasing the mobility in their ankles. Just confirms my opinion of C1 paddlers, they must be mad. How else do you explain someone practising so they can endure excrutiating pain for lon...

Some great results for GB Canoeing, commiserations to those paddlers whose luck deserted them on the day, including Helen Barnes whose paddle snapped. I would include Campbell in this category, the video evidence is pretty clear and I think he deserved gold. Surely though, this proves that relying ...
