We NEED at least one div 1/2 event in the South/South East or young paddlers from this part of the country will drop out of slalom as soon as they get beyond div 3. Agreed, but you can widen it, and add the whole South West. There is only one double Div 3 slalom left in the whole South West (and tw...

for completness, would it not be better to compare the proportion of total numbers in the division, or does that not have a significant impact? At the beginning of the season there are a number of paddlers desperate for promotioni who race everywhere, is there a point in the season when the numbers...

Speechless ... there would have been 10 Prems this year .. was that a problem? IF it is only 9 events, looks like another Prem is for the chop yet. The reverse hydro electric plant on the M25 isn't in the draft list yet: http://www.canoeslalom.co.uk/committee/2011draft_calendar.pdf 13/3/11 - P1 = T...

Interesting ideas, Only issue I can see with 1/ is there is a possibility of Inquorate Div3 K1 M. This would nearly have happened at Ogmore this Sat. Obviously not a good scenario as it effects all D3 points at the event. While writing to add .. if 3/ could be made to work ... then why not: 4/ Spli...

Darley Abbey .. how could I forget that one. Last time I was ever in the same div/team as Rob Wright. There were a couple of spikes in the weir that mean anyone who pushed it too high got two parallel scratches on the left of the boat at 45 degrees by the feet. Used to meet up with other paddlers r...

Many thanks from Frome Canoe Club to all those who came and made it such a great event. The sun shone, many cakes were eaten, and we nearly managed to drain the river on Saturday. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Sounds really good Nicky.

Would love to hear how you get on with a D4 SC in the evening. Especially how you do the timings to fit it all in, get the scores up .. etc etc.

Could we perhaps have an up to date list of current rules as they should be. Then it would be useful to me to have an annual list of agreed changes - it would make getting the scoring systems we build much easier to get right. ... snip ... I now have a bad headache and need to go and lie down for a...

I recall been woken early at Middleton by the randy Ram that the farmer had put in early AM to service the Ewes. Boy he made a din.

Blimey, you're right. I just checked the original 4x6 that was scanned off. Its gate 11, but it is a reverse upstream on a boil. Red on left for those too young to remember. I remember that event well. The big move wasn't that reverse. It was the break in to the top of the shoot, and then surf at l...

We do not run events 'in season' as we are too busy going to too many slaloms!! So well done for running one, shame if you have too similar a course, giving locals even more of an advantage. Thanks for the comments ... appreciate. We've a packed program to, but by fitting a really simple slalom int...

Poor attempt to hijack the thread Jim. This is about the best slalom in the country that weekend, ORTON MERE, if you want to publise some local event in the Southwest do it in your own thread! Thanks for the suggestion Canadian Paddler, you can find the thread here: http://ccgi.millband.plus.com/cg...
