Not sure that would work flipper. am i going to go to a div 1/2 to get 900 points or a p/1 to get 900 plus say 200? i think the sums speak for themselves, and anyone who can beat even a single boat from the division above is not going to bother racing if they are the top division at a race. especia...

Hi all, Sent the info to Nick this morning so that will be on before too long. We have the river, the field, the loos and we will even have enough water this time! but the one thing we lack is on time entries! I know loads of people are coming for the race but at the mo its not worth putting the st...

It seems we have a few different arguments/threads going on at the moment. 1. Sites hosting races for the correct division to the standard of water available. Attached to that the need to 2. Increase the number of opportunites for lower division events accross the board but especially in target are...

Ok folks only 3 weeks till the best 2/3/4 in the north is back! Just so everyone knows we WILL NOT be racing over the falls at this event. There is currently a bit more water in the river than for the div 1/2 so it should be another cracking event! We will also be running a team event on saturday e...

Query, how can a 1b course also be a Prem? If it is not difficult enough for a 1a surely it is not difficult enough for a Prem? I certainally query Mile End Mill, Washburn and a few of the others being a Prem... I agree but there have been Prems on these sites in the past. Prems sites wouldn't need...

I have been thinking about how to go about grading some of the courses we race on troughout the season and if they are appropriate for the level of races on them. I went through the year book and graded all the sites that i had ever been too that were still on the calender. I combined this with my ...

Someone educate me. Back in the "Good Old Days" (yes I was alive but had a bike stuck up my bum, didn't know kayaks existed), the Div1 / Prem events were at a higher standard. Really? Where were they run? Has water got mystically flatter over the years? I thought it was Tryweryn, Tully, HPP, Sheppe...

Are we suggesting that you will only be allowed to race and get ranked in your region/super region/area? If so its an absolute non starter. If you want paddlers to progress they need to gain experience on different water and race sites. People will go to the race sites that they feel able to race o...

if there wer fewer races would you do a higher percentage of them or the same percentage but few races? What about if there were more races? It would depend if the good races were still on the calender. I'd still do all the Tryweren, Tully and HPP races i could make, and any on the new courses (car...

Good read generally, although i'm not really sure where the last paragraph is going? it seems to have no real point. there are a large number of division 1 events, as a result the paddlers in division 1 either miss events, or.... I think this is an assumption often made but really needs a proper su...

I'm not starting out to offend people but... ...All this southerners are so hard done too rubish is starting to boil my bloody! us northeners have at least a 2&1/2 hour drive to any decent guaranteed water race sites as well. unfortunatly slalom is a sport where a lot of us have to do an awful lot ...
