why can't we leave things alone? Last years regs seem to be perfectly adequate for purpose. Absolute nonsence, And on an aside if we force people to wear equipment which has a certain mark or standard if this equipment fails or proves insufficient causing injury or worse who is going to get...

how about a series of slalom-X races like were held at the end of the pan celtic at hpp this summer. I thought it was the most fun i'd had in a slalom boat for ages. Tag one of those on the back of 4/5 prems a year and see if it takes off? They seem easy enough to organise, names in a hat, 6 single...

just a personal opinion but town falls, serpents tail, bala mill and shepperton are graded too highly (at least one grade for each). one decent drop does not make a hard course.

my only evidence is that a vast number of those i knew and saw competing and helping in and around the sport 10 years ago are still knocking around in one form or another. Having said that a lot of the juniors seem to have gone missing from my era and just after ???

Prem is Prem i agree that prem should be left well alone, but the structure to get to prem has to be maintained. are we going to allow people to get to prem by providing dozens of div 1's on unsuitable water? i hope not. Sadly some areas of the country do not have the facilities to host higher leve...

Right sign me up to run a div 4 on the graveyard please!!:p I'm sure there will be hundreds of entries! In all seriousness developing paddlers want to race on lesser water, good paddlers (should) want to race on better water, THE DIVISIONAL SYSTEM ACHIEVES THIS! (as well as any system can) please s...

Surely open practice is undertaken at your own risk, the same as your own training. The organisers of events only need to ensure suitable safety cover duing official practice and runs. I was taught from a very young age that the upstream paddler has right of way and if your responsable for keeping ...

I think I'd agree that we need more flexible divisions, but how about when you go to a say Div 2/3/4 event you can enter in any of those divisions. Or we could just have less divisions, with more people in them. say, 3 divisions. Prem would stay how it is but div 1/2 would be one division and div 3...

my opinion is probably meaningless as i am neither vet nor sadly junior anymore but i'd think an event in the middle of teh country would be better (matlock/HPP). would it be posible to run an A & B league say on the main course and chicken shoots (@ HPP) like they do at the polo national champs. T...

No sorry my point about races not counting was that if you up points needed to get promoted to 5000 that a 900 point result will not be of any use to you so you would need to only race at the prem /1 events, or we'll be down to only a possible 4 promotees now were down to 14 races in a season.(on t...
