As Mark says - you can very easily determine change, the decisions are not in the hands of the slalom comittee!! The Vets issue has been discussed and debated for the last year - I am hoping someone has collated and put together a proposal - if there is to be any changes at all the slalom committee...

Another way to be able to run more ranking paddlers would be to have no officials and have competitors judging this increasing the amount of time available.

There is absolutely no possibility of the race moving to HPP as no booking for the site. We have spoken to the environment agency and the water levels are very good good, well above the minimum level required to be able to race the fall and rain expected. An update on the one pole issue - and ammendment has been added that in the case of a one pole gate a second pole will be placed on the bank side to establish the gate line.

This issue was discussed at the last committee Meerting (minutes out soon) and will be a motion at the ACM to set up a ranking & promotional system for C1W. It is that chicken and egg situation - you need more WC1 paddlers but without their own ranking system what encouragement do thae have to give...

This issues has been picked up by the Slalom Committee - in the ICF rules there are clear guidelines as to how to negotiate a 2 pole gate but not a single pole gate - we will be querieng this with the ICF.
