Topic: PROTEST FEES - £5 for selection?

Benifit of doubt is given when appropriate, by individual judges. However if one judge is better place to see a penalty i.e. the other is unable to see as on off side then there is no doubt, one saw and one didn't because they were not in a position to see it. The oppertunistic protest however is d...

As you have said "draft" nothing is set in stone re the calendar until the ACM as has been said numerous times, or the selection policy until after consultation. The IP have actually had nothing to do with any date changes.

As only one fee will be charged there will only be one levy, you can't charge on something not paid! as for prizes it is up to the club as to what they present and how much they spend, I don't think anymore guidelines will be very practical. I am always on the look out for possible prizes and I kno...

The initiative at Shepperton was from World Class/Development, not the Slalom Committee. However in 2005 we have helped fund x3 community sports coaches to 3 slalom clubs via the young Persons Programme. Coaching Iniatiative grants have been awarded to another 2 clubs who have made a major input of...

My understanding of this motion is to encourage more paddlers to take up canadian paddling or at the very least have a go, the feeling is that there would stll be the same income to clubs etc but more competiors would paddle in canadian classes. It may of course also work the other way, Canadian pa...

Thanks for those words of support concerned paddler, I hope Dave it is at least your committees decision to support Keith. not yours as slalom rep, the same could be said of Green Star. As has been pointed out a number of times I have only been Chair for 9 months, it takes time to find ones feet, p...

What happens when a div 4/3 is run as happens often, on the present distances they are the same if the new proposals are accepted the higher ranked events rules will count so no gain!

My biggest headaches when running the recent prem/one was late entries, trying to cintunally update a start list (when I should be getting the following weeks ready} was a nightmare! Also the fact thet only a small minority actually include the late entry fee increases the work as it then has to be...

For me as orgniser (and involved in setting out the coms at LLangollen) llangollen is much easier to run, at HPP i am also needed to set up th start list for the timing system and also run the timing (although the recent races I manages to escape that more than usually!) I agree the course erection...

I would beg to disagree with the guest before last (why can't you post under your name?) The origional arrangement does not give equal oppertunity to all Junior selection paddlers as many would have to go home on Easter Mon and travel back, up to 500 miles the night before the most important race i...

The proxy forms ask you to return them to the Salom Administrator and you may appoint him, the chair of the BCU board or another club to hold them Personally as I have a vested interest in the votes in the interest of fairness I would not wish to hold them. Remember you can nominate any club that a...

In all other sports the British Open is an event open to all nationalities. It was suggested by your paddler rep and discussed by the committee that we should run the class C International and call it the British Open and make it open to international paddlers. This then requires only one set of pr...

I find it very concerning thar someone has rung up Jim, refusing to give their name and proceeded to slag him off for the changes in the calendar. Jim does the managed calendar on a voluntary basis, as event management on the committee. It is not part of the Slalom Administraors job. This is totall...
