Safety Forms for Tees Barrage Prem/1 (14/15 Oct)
Please note - Tees Barrage have changed their Safety Forms so most people paddling at the event will need to complete and return a new form (even me!) Important: Before getting on the water, ALL paddlers must have completed the centre's Medical Consent and Risk Declaration Form AND must sign in at ...

Re: HPP Div 1 & 2
Steve - not quite so - see rule B5.7.1 - vets can enter an event at ta level lower than they are declared at but don't get any points.I would love to enter the Div.2 race Dave but under the current rules as a Prem. / Div.1 K1 Men's Vet I am unable to do so.

Re: Coping with Numbers in Div 1
West Tanfield - hire cost - last one this year
The loss of West Tanfield is the campsite withdrawing their support (without giving much reason) rather than cost issues - although the costs have been hiked in recent years

Re: Coping with Numbers in Div 1
On the wider discussion: Events at the end of the year tend to be more popular due to more people in the division as well as people scrambling to get more races in (whether they have been disorganised, not got the points they hoped early, desperate to get promoted, or simple want to paddle more). So...

Re: Coping with Numbers in Div 1
Tees Barrage isn't using the online system so is 'hidden' in terms of people seeing where we are at with entries (although I have been updating 'entries received' lists every month). However I'm moderately surprised that the Prem only filled this weekend (even with a PCC alongside it, although that ...

Re: Rules around promotions and paddle up entries
On a similar note, I have had a PU entry from someone who hadn't at the time got promoted into the division below the host division! I put him in as an official and when he was promoted moved him to a PU entry, but dated for the date I noticed he had been promoted (the paddler hasn't let me know tha...

Re: C2 Structure for 2018 Season
At a quick read these seem reasonable to me, but will reflect a bit more.
Regarding in 3b (not so good crews entering any race) this is probably more theoretical than likely. Currently any Div 2/3 C2 crew can already paddle up, I've not checked all the event results but its not happening.

Re: Washburn July Div 2 & Pan Celtic
Thanks for the positive comments. We are blessed with a big bunch of great volunteers from clubs across the region (and beyond) that work hard to make these happen.
Believe it or not I locked up and left a completely cleared site just over 2 hours after racing finished!

Re: Washburn Div 1
Hi all An update - The div 2 on 1/2 July is on. Thanks to Yorkshire Water allowing this release and Richard Atkinson at BC HQ for his assistance on this. The div 1 is still ' very unlikely' , but it does allow a bit longer for some rain with out which it will not go ahead. Why the div 2 - if we canc...
