Should we be considering increasing fees over a 2 or 3 years to soften the impact?
So fees go up ahead of the usual inflationary increase, but not the significant jump proposed.

Re: 6.5 Junior Equipment
When was the last time anyone checked boat diamensions at a Div 1 race (other than boat weights)? Even at Prem I only remember it being done at the British Open (and probably selection race - but I've never been to those). If you enforce that junior boats don't meet the rules, do you start checking ...

Re: 6.2 Entry Fees
Ok from an organisers perspective - both of the Washburn Div 2 races lost money this year! Approx £100 and £300 - that's with the income from catering and car parking - take those out and the loss is much greater. In previous year these have occasionally made a slight loss which usually down to numb...

Re: Ore coach training
To clarify a couple of things: If you did the previous UKCC L2 training or assessment that allows you to bypass the new 'Core' course. However the older BCU L3 doesn't (which I assume is Steve's issue) but it could be part of an APL application. First Aid - you need a 2day first aid certificate in p...

Washburn Div 2 - 14/15 Sept
At the moment we have quite a low entry for the upcoming Washburn div 2 race. I suspect some people are waiting to hear if the water releases are comfirmed before they enter. If you are thinking of entering then: late entry fees kick in on 30 August we have set up the online entry system to delay co...

Re: How Much is too much for Div 1s
I'd pay £50 (& probably £60) for a double on LV Olympic course. And like pinkston I'd probably pay for a Friday practice slot if they were available As has been said there are plenty of div 1s prepared to pay £50 to paddle up at the British Open where most are likely to get only 1 days race. Also th...

Re: Washburn releases
I'm not sure why the calendar hasn't come out yet, there is a 1 day release next weekend for the BUCS WWR event. As far as reservoir levels are concerned, last week the water was flowing over all 5 spillways on Thruscross Dam (see https://www.facebook.com/riverwashburn/ ) However, it's worth pointin...

Re: ACM Motion 6.2 Paddle Up Priority
Whatever tweak is made to priority it needs to be simple - simple for those coding it, simple for organisers, and simple for paddlers and parents to understand why x gets a place and y doesn't.

Re: ACM Motion 6.3 Entry Limits
The proposed wording only helps in that it make it clear that the limit is for overall number of Ranking and Open entries, so does not include officials. And by not mentioning a limit on officials this could be taken to mean there is no limit on officials, or even that you can't limit the number of ...

Re: ACM Motion 6.4 Course Erection
Friday afternoon is a little vague and will be interpreted differently by different organisers. Some may have everything set up and ready to slide out at 12noon, so the course is still available relatively early, while others will start later. I suspect the length of your journey is more of a consid...

Re: Pan Celtic 2018
Jim - Each nation only counts their best 13 places in each PCC leg (that is the 2 races that make up each home nation leg). Adding your C1M in would change the Scottish scoring places to 8 x 1st & 5 x 2nd (instead of 8 x 1st, 4 x 2nd and 1 x 3rd) so while 4 points would be added for the extra second...

I'm happy with 4th Jan like it was this year, but if people feel that's a bit close to the holidays, then a week later?what 'x' should be!
