How come Duck Mill Weir in Bedford has not been mentioned here? Hmph! Well, as previously reported elsewhere on this Forum, this venue is very likely to reappear on the calendar once we have permanent gates and lighting sorted out :-) With the EA threatening to allow controlled water relesases, tha...

OK. This is very disappointing as I have not had one post here nor received one single email of either interest or enquiry. I will ask Nick to pop this on the front page as he kindly did in 2008 but, to be honest, it makes me wonder if it is worth the significant effort of organising and setting up...

Hi Premsters! In 2008 this spectacular River Festival clashed with international comps for both the senior and junior team resulting in only a small take-up for the £50 appearance money. However, those who did attend (Joe Coombs, James Bailey, Jake Silvester, Andrew Rendell and Joel Crossland) wowe...

Alternatively, let a pro fix it for you. Dave Brown of Polo connections does repairs, a place in Barton Le Clay Bedfordshire and, of course, super helpful and very cost effective Jim Mac at Nomad who did such a great fix on my boat :-) Can't do with getting all that shticky shtuff all over my finge...

I just returned from the 2nd meeting that I have attended with the Envirinment Agency, local council, local MP, local councillor and others regarding the establishment of formal white water venues here in Bedford. The first meeting was in September 2008 and, in the intervening period, Rescue 3 have...

Im not used to being ill and I DON'T like it! If anyone is wondering if they should go to the Stone Mini,...

Well done for breaking the mold on this one Nicky :-) And great to see the paddling machine being featured too. I attended the British Indoor Champs last year and for a firt time event it was absolutely brilliant! Too far for me to travel for water of the non bumpy kind but hope it is well attended...

Oh my goodness! Love Mae and I just got around to looking on the Proteus website and have now seen the "Fishcake"! How brilliant is THAT! Mrs CP deserves a hearty slap on the back (or at least a big hug) for the work that went into that. Even crediting us as well....we are so pleased here (currentl...

I suffered a bit of heat stroke yesterday as I was foolish enough to go out to a shooting range in the middle of the day! I really was somewhere very warm indeed! Glad the event went well and from the comment above it seems the 'fish cake' (I love that description!) was worth winning....I do hope a...

Peter, Jim Croft has just emailed me to ask about the role of compiler and I mentioned you to him in my reply. However, I note that emails are not leaving my outbox very promptly (I am using various connections whilst travelling abroad) so maybe contact Jim and I am sure he will be pleased to sort ...

LOL Terry...the answer to that depends upon ones commitment. So its probably somewhere between daily sessions on the river with gym, aerobic and running work and bringing in the empty bin after the wife has taken out the full one. Colin, master of shameless plugs, it seems no topic is safe from you...
