Slalom Committee Meeting Minutes
Hi all, The last set of Slalom Committee Meeting minutes for the get together that took place in May that are available on the Canoe Slalom website say that a further such meeting should have taken place on the 20th July. Can anyone advise if this Meeting did take place and if so have there been any...

Re: Bibs
Hi all.
Can someone please comment on how to get your Bib Deposit of £8 back if you have a voucher from last year but don't intend to race again this season?
I can't seem to find anything about that anywhere.
Thanks in advance.
Jasper

Re: 6.2 Veterans Points (75/25)
Hi Phil. While I can see what you are getting at, the fact remains that those were the Ranking Points that you would have secured if you had competed in Division 1 at Llandysul and the same can be said if you had competed in Division 3 at Stone. The current system indicates the ranking division that...

Re: 6.6 Carry Points Forward for 2022
If this proposed motion gets through, will I be able to retain my Veteran's points obtained at Div. 2 events during this season for part of next season too?
It may affect how I lobby for the motion within my club.

Re: Veterans - Alternate points
Hi all. Having noticing the 'Alternative Vet.'s Ranking Points' on a couple of recent race results, I tried to find out a little more about how they were being calculated. I have not been able to locate the formulas for how they are being calculated but did locate this link to the Alternative Vet.'s...

Re: British Open/ HPPCC/SS open
Just recently there have been a few ICF run ECA races which several U.K. Junior paddlers competed at. Why were those events (attracting paddlers from different countries) allowed to take place if similar home events are deemed too dangerous? What measures were put in place to mitigate any issues in ...

Re: Non quorat classes and paddle ups
What would be more interesting to consider is the effect of this potential situation on the ranking points secured post race. The four C1W paddlers who have already entered currently will, if the situation does not change, get their ranking points allocated to them based on how their performance rel...

Grandtully Div. 1 - 24th & 25th August
Hi. Would anyone be able to provide a full set of results from the events that took place at Grandtully a few weeks ago? I notice that the ones Nick has been able to upload to this website so far do not include any run times for the Officials at the event on either date. It would be good to know whe...

Re: Points calculations with DNFs
While that is true on the Sunday Dee that same C1M Paddler came 12th / 22 on the Saturday so more than half of the class would get extra ranking points if they were recalculated with him being included in the calculations.

Re: Points calculations with DNFs
The C1 Men's points from both Tryweryn races may also need to be corrected as there was a Paddler who must have entered the event early as a Paddle Up but who got promoted into the host division at the previous weekend's HPP race. They have been excluded from the general class points calculations on...

Re: Vets' Points
Is there anything wrong with the current system as one of the current C1 Vet.'s was able to secure 1,000 ranking points from last weekend's HPP event? Well Done Joel. If changes are made to the current system could it be done just for Kayak classes? If changes such as those being suggested in this t...

Re: Vets' Points
Surely the current Vet rankings do reflect ability.
The ability to select the most suitable level of race to enter for that persons current level of ability.

Re: How Much is too much for Div 1s
Another angle may be to make a request of the Slalom Committee to reduce or eliminate their payment from these 'special' Division 1 races that are more expensive to put on rather than putting the entry fees up for paddlers to attend. I think that they currently have a cash surplus in their accounts ...
